Kevin has been a member of the CBS 5 Sports Department since September 1998. He took over as Sports Director in August 2000. During his time at CBS 5, Kevin has won numerous awards. He's been honored more than 10 times by the Syracuse Press Club for "Outstanding Sports Reporting." He's also produced, written and anchored numerous CBS 5 Sports specials on the Syracuse University football and basketball teams, the Buffalo Bills and NASACAR that have been awarded by the Syracuse Press Club. In 2007, he was the only individual anchor in the Syracuse TV market to win two first place awards at the Syracuse Press Club Awards. Kevin has also won six Associated Press awards for “Best Sports Reporting.” Every time the awards committee has noted his creativity, his writing and his use of production value. In 2003 & 2004 he was voted #1 by the A.P. for "Best Sports Coverage" in the state. He was also won a prestigious New York State Broadcasting award in 2003 for Outstanding Sportscast. Before coming to WTVH, Kevin worked in Binghamton where he won the “Best Local Sportscaster” award from the New York State Associated Press. In September 2004 he became the host and sideline reporter for SU football games on the Syracuse University Radio Network. Kevin is a graduate of the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. He gives back to SU by working as an adjunct professor at the Newhouse school. His weekly "I Challenge Kevin" segments allow him to work with some of CNY's great charities and groups including ENABLE, The ALS Association, the American Cancer Society and numerous school districts. When he’s not working, Kevin enjoys rollerblading, golfing, watching New York Jets football games. Kevin and his wife, Karri, have a daughter, Kylie.
