CBS 5 is pleased to have John DiPasquale join the weather team. John grew up in the Finger Lakes region of Central New York and loves the changeable weather here, especially the snow! John attended Oswego State University and received his B.S. in Meteorology. John says, "It's a great place to be when you’re studying weather! Since I can remember, the weather has always fascinated me, especially the snow. You can't ask for anything more. Loving what you do for a living is the greatest!"

John has been in the business for several years now and has worked in many cities across the Northeast. DiPasquale has worked in Binghamton, Utica, Springfield, MA, Hartford, CT and here in Syracuse. "Syracuse has the best weather out of all of those cities just listed", John says.

The American Meteorological Society granted John the AMS Seal of Approval, which recognizes excellence in weather broadcasting.

His hobbies are basketball, golf, and lifting weights.
