Governor Eliot Spitzer announced today he will support Democrat Bill Magnarelli in the race for Onondaga County Executive. The announcement comes eight months after Spitzer bashed Magnarelli because the legislature's choice for State Comptroller was not qualified. Spitzer was in Syracuse for numerous fundraisers including Magnarelli's at The Hotel Syracuse. He made the endorsement announment at the event. Bill Magnarelli's opponent, Republican Joanie Mahoney says the announcement didn't surprise her because parties support each other all the time. She says it won't effect her campaign at all. Election Day is Tuesday November 6.
