3-Month-Old Hospitalized after Assault
3-Month-Old, Myles Glasgow was taken to the hospital Thursday where doctors found he had a fractured left leg, a fractured pelvis, fractured ribs and facial injuries, said Sgt. Tom Connellan. Police arrested the baby's father, Leonard Glasgow, of Toronto Saturday night.
He is charged with assault and endangering the welfare of a child. He is behind bars on $50,000 bail. The mother said the father was in Syracuse taking care of the baby to help her out. She is a student at SUNY Upstate Medical. The mother took the child to the hospital on Thursday because she noticed the baby's leg was swollen. The hospital notified the police of the child's injuries Thursday night. Connellan said, Leonard Glasgow told the police he was bathing Myles when he slipped from his grasp. He tried to grab the baby but he hit his head. Police say his story doesn't match with the child's injuries and believe the father assaulted him. |
