A 28-year old Oswego City school teacher is accused of having an intimate relationship with a 16 year old student.
Jennifer Dempsey faces charges of endangering the welfare of a child for having what investigators call an ongoing inappropriate intimate relationship with the teen. They also say she is currently a teacher in the Oswego City School District. This is a misdemeanor charge, and Dempsy was released after her arrest, and will be back in court next week. We are still awaiting word regarding her employment status in the district. A 1:30 news conference has been scheduled to discuss that aspect of the case with the media.
