10,000 Hours Logged at VA
A Syracuse man is being honored for his longtime service at the VA. Bill Fowler will soon log his 10,000th hour as a volunteer there. Fowler started his service 37 years ago, in which time he also served as a meat cutter at Sweetheart Market. Over 37 years, he's helped military men and women with their health problems. He also helped the department go paper-less, by reminding veterans of upcoming appointments. For his efforts, Fowler received the Spirit of Caring Award Tuesday.
