'Green' Collar Jobs On The Way

By Michael Benny

A company from California's Silicon Valley wants to move very quickly to set up a production facility in Lysander. It specializes in environmentally friendly construction components.
Serious Materials is run by a man who grew up in Camillus and went to West Genesee High School. Kevin Surace tells CBS 5, "We are very aggressive, we don't move slowly, because we don't make money unless we're making and selling product."
The company makes a type of drywall that is easy on the earth, and windows that could become very popular in the northeast. Surace says they can save homeowners 40 percent on their energy bills.
