Fabius And Tully Could Be No More

Fabius And Tully Could Be No More

By Jon Dougherty

Once the Clay Police merger successfully went through in June, many expected other consolidations around Onondaga County to happen, and the Villages of Fabius and Tully could be next.

Onondaga County Legislator Bob DeMore wants a study conducted to determine the cot savings of dissolving village government. Fabius has 337 residents, and Tully nearly 900. They are the two smallest municipalities in Onondaga County. The move would turn the two into hamlets, and both town's governments would overtake control.

DeMore says the study will only take a few months to complete, and once the results are in, it will be in the hands of the voters, with a likely vote during village elections in March of 2009.
