Dead Is Forever

Dead Is Forever

By Michael Benny

This special message will air on local stations, aimed at convincing young people to recognize the devastating impacts of violence. The commercial was created with direct input from local young people, and deal directly with the harsh realities of violence.

"Everyone must come together to convince young people that they have choices," according to Helen Hudson. "Every time a young person in our community chooses violence, it diminishes us all. We are joining forces to utilize the power of television and the airwaves to reach young people. We applaud the law enforcement community for taking an active role in helping to launch this campaign. We invite individuals and businesses from every corner of Onondaga County to join us."

The first spot produced for this campaign will be shown at the event. "Dead is Forever" includes mothers of young people who have died with photos of their sons. This special campaign will air during television programs that young people, ages 9-21, watch.
