Just a few days left for the candidates to campaign for Onondaga County Executive since the primary is on Tuesday. The democrats will decide between Ed Ryan and Bill Magnarelli...Ryan is a longtime County Legislator with more than 30 years of experience in county government. He says we can't afford to have somone doing a year apprenticeship as the head of the county, he knows what to do now. Bill Magnarelli is a State Assemblyman and also served as a Syracuse Common Councilor. He believes his experience at different levels of government will help him get things done. On the Republican side, Dale Sweetland is the chairman of the Onondaga County Legislature. He has 20 years of experience at the town and county levels and he says he enjoys campaigning and meeting the people. Joanie Mahoney is the only candidate who is not a sitting politician, although she was a Syracuse Common Councilor. The Onondaga mother says she is a leader who can advance the county and create opportunities for her children, and others.
