Find Out When Your Favorite CBS Shows Will Return
LOS ANGELES (AP) - Striking Hollywood writers are going back to
work.
The Writers Guild of America says its members have voted to end the three-month strike that brought the entertainment industry to a standstill.
Under the agreement, writers get a maximum flat fee of about $1,200 for programs streamed on the Internet in the deal's first two years and then get two percent of a distributor's gross in year three. Other provisions include increased residual payments for downloaded movies and TV programs. CBS chief executive officer Leslie Moonves says it is "a fair deal" and "everybody won."
