New Hampshire Primary Affect on CNY
Voters all over Central New York watched closely to the New Hampshire primary. That's because they know how important the results are in choosing the next President. John McCain and Hillary Clinton were the big winners in the first primary of 2008. It was a close one and Mitchell Patterson Junior, the President of the Young Democrats in Onondaga County says the results in the New Hampshire primary are important because they usually pan out to what the rest of America thinks.
"The New Hampshire primary is some what of a good gauge when it comes to how Americans feel, but they again it's the first primary. It's the first stages of the political process and picking the President of the United States", Patterson says. The candidates will now leave New Hampshire and make their way to Michigan for that states primary on Tuesday. New York's primary is on "Super Duper Tuesday" on February 5th. |
