Thruway Re-Opens Between Rochester and Buffalo
CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (AP) - The Thruway Authority reports the
highway reopened Wednesday evening between Buffalo and Rochester following earlier closure due to accidents and blowing snow.
State police say eastbound and westbound lanes had closed Wednesday afternoon between Exit 46 at Henrietta, near Rochester, to Exit 49 in Cheektowaga, just east of Buffalo. Troopers say some injuries were reported from the accidents along the nearly 60-mile stretch of Interstate 90. Thruway officials at 8:20 p.m. said the incident was cleared between the exits and traffic was returning to normal. |
