High Fire Danger
The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation issued a high fire danger warning for most of Central New York. Conditions are prime for open burns to quickly spread. The DEC says dry weather and vegetation that is just growing in, means brush fires could quickly spark. People are asked to avoid any open burning and asked to carefully dispose of cigarette butts.
