Fire Cause: Careless Smoking

Fire Cause: Careless Smoking

By Keith Kobland

Investigators have nailed down a cause of yesterday morning's fire in the 700 block of Euclid Avenue.
A smoldering cigarette is being blamed for touching off flames that damaged the home, and also led to minor burns suffered by two Syracuse Firefighters. The firefighters were credited with saving a student trapped inside the burning house. Another person jumped from the roof, and a total of 7 people were left homeless. Three suffered smoke inhalation as well.
