T-B Case at H.W. Smiith School

An active case of pulmonary Tuberculosis is discovered in a student at the school on Syracuse's eastside.

The Onondaga County Health Department says 30 students and 4 teachers will be tested Monday. The results of those tests will be back on Wednesday. At this point the infected child is responding very well to antibiotics, and there is no reason to believe other chldren or staff members are infected.
