The State Police in Herkimer are investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred at approximately 10:38 PM on May 8, 2008 on State Route 169 in the Town of Fairfield. Killed was Thomas F. Trevor, 02/14/60, of 189 Applewood Drive, Ilion NY.

Subject was northbound on State Route 169, alone on his 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle, when he lost control on a curve and drove off of the west side of the roadway and was ejected from his motorcycle. He was treated at the scene by Middleville FD and Rural Metro Ambulance. Operator was pronounced dead at the scene by Herkimer County Coroner Brian Roberts.

Investigation into the accident is continuing.
