A passenger died when the car he was riding in overturned on 690 W in Van Buren Friday night. The accident happened around 8:30 pm near the Thruway exit. Police say the driver tried quickly to exit the highway and hit a median. His car overturned, ejecting the backseat passenger through the sunroof. The driver is Raymond Wong, 24, of New York City. The two passengers were his parents, Mun and Lin. The father, Lin, was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say a seat belt would almost assuredly saved his life.
