Brother of SU Lacrosse Players Killed In Elbridge Crash
A motorcyclist was killed after a collision with a mini-van Tuesday night. The two vehicles crashed on Hamilton Road in Elbridge near Route 5. Police say the woman pulled out of a driveway and hit the man on the motorcycle. On Wednesday police identified the man as 21-year old Aaron Guadagnolo. He's the brother of Syracuse University lacrosse players Tom and Kyle Guadagnolo.
Police say Aaron Guadagnolo was thrown from his bike, and was unconscious when they arrived on the scene. The man was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead. SU lacrosse coach John Desko released a statement saying, "“Our thoughts and prayers are with Kyle, Thomas and the whole Guadagnolo family. In situations like this lacrosse takes a back seat. As a team, we are going to rally around them and support them any way we can. Aaron was a fun-loving young man and a pleasure to be around. He will be missed.” There's no word if his brothers will play in the Orange's final four game this weekend. The woman driving the mini-van was taken to the hospital. We have no word on her condition. Police are continuing to investigate the crash., We'll bring you more information on CBS5 at 5pm. |
