Mexico School District ROTC Teacher Charged With Attempted Rape

On June 30th, Daniel Aguilar was arrested and charged with multiple sexual assault charges stemming from an incident at a woman's residence in Pulaski, the same town where Aguilar lives. The woman is an adult, and not a student at Aguilar's high school.

Even so, students are shocked at the allegations. Heather Hadcock, a former ROTC student of Aguilar's, says "It was a really big shocker because i had him for ROTC for four years."

Once arrested and charged with the crimes, Aguilar met with Mexico's Superintendent of Schools, Nelson Bauersfeld. Bauersfeld says in the time he's known Daniel Aguilar, he's never had reason to question his character. He also says says Aguilar is on administrative leave pending the outcome on the investigation.
