UPDATE: New Information In Elbridge Murders

By Jon Dougherty

Update: Joseph Bisesi III is charged with two counts of 1st Degree Murder, for the deaths of his parents. State police say Bisesi III shot his mother and father to death Sunday, then tried to cover up the crime in a most disturbing way.

Police were tipped to the 5979 Sandbank Road home Tuesday afternoon by William Kirby, a cousin of Joseph Bisesi III. Kirby came to the home to check up on his aunt and uncle, who had not been seen since early Sunday morning. Kirby found a male torso on the lawn, and alerted police, who discovered body parts sticking out of a plastic pipe that leads to the septic tank. An alert for Bisesi III was issued, and he turned himself in to the Onondaga County Sheriffs Department and was questioned.

State police believe the 27 year old murdered his parents, 54 year old Joseph and 53 year old Joellen Bisesi. They believe he shot them Sunday inside the Sandbank Road home they shared, then spent the next days trying to dispose of the bodies. Investigators say he put his 53 year old mother into the pipe that leads to the septic tank, and dismembered his father to put him in the tank as well.

From earlier: State Police this afternoon released new information into the deaths of two Elbridge residents, allegedly at the hands of their son. Joseph Bisesi has been charged with two counts of first degree murder in the case. Police say William Kirby, a cousin to Bisesi, saw the man dragging a torso across the yard of the Sandbank Road home where both bodies were found. Police say it will take them several days to process the crime scene, digging up the septic tank where one of the bodies was located, and where police say Bisesi was dragging the other. Right now, the bodies have not been identified, but they are believed to those of Bisesi's parents, who were last seen Sunday morning by their daughter. Our Jon Dougherty was at a NYS Police news conference this afternoon. He'll have the latest starting at 5 tonight. (from 7/21) One man is arrested in Elbridge, charged with killing his parents on Sunday night by shooting them to death.

Joseph and JoEllen Bisesi were found in their home on Sandbank Road Tuesday. Police say their son, Joseph Bisesi III, 27, is accused of killing them and disposing of their bodies in the homes septic tank.

State Police arrested the son late Tuesday night. Bisesi was arraigned in the Town of Elbridge Court and sent to the Onondaga County Justice Center, without bail.
