The Rise Of Women's Boxing

More and more women are climbing into the boxing ring. The sport's popularity is soaring, and the proof can be found right here in Central New York.
At present, boxing remains the only Olympic sport in which women do not compete. Supporters have long demanded a change, and they might soon get it. The international Olympic committee is weighing a plan to include women's boxing in the 2012 games. That is in large part because the sport's popularity has been soaring, and as it turns out -- what many consider to have been the watershed match, happened right here in Central New York.
