In this edition of Plumpton's Perspective, Chuck introduces you to a farm boy from DeWitt who took part in the battle for Iwo Jima. Ed Zaluski and others who fought that battle marked its 63rd anniversary last week. It was the first American attack on the home islands of japan and was fiercely defended, a defining moment in the lives of thousands of marines sailors and airmen who participated in the 35-day battle.
