After knocking off Bishop Ludden at home in the final week of the regular season, the Fowler boys pulled off some magic on the road.

Fifth-seeded Fowler topped Ludden, 50-49, in the second round of the Class A playoffs. Chris Gilkes led the way with 18 points.

The top teams in girls sectionals that didn't receive byes took their frustration out on the competition. Fourth-seeded C-NS poured it on in the first round of the Class AA playoffs, taking it to B'ville, 58-20. Nicole Dwyer was on top of her game, pacing a balanced Northstars attack with 13 points.
