O.C.C. Opens Playoffs With Win; Auburn Nets 1st Ever Victory Over West Genny

The O.C.C. men's lacrosse team scored exactly 31 goals for the 5th time this season, moving on to the Region III Semifinals.

The 2nd-ranked Lazers, in search of their third straight national title, knocked off Jefferson, 31-5.

Wade Bucktooth scored five goals and added an assist, while James Synowiez had three goals and two assists.

O.C.C. will play Hudson Valley in the semis in Herkimer at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. If the Lazers win, they'll play for the Region III title Saturday at 3:00 p.m.

The 24th-ranked Auburn high boys lacrosse team won its first-ever game over West Genesee, topping the fourth-ranked Wildcats, 5-4. Auburn was previously 0-48 against West Genny.

Connor Entenmann scored twice for the Maroons, who jumped out to a 3-0 lead and held on for the win. Auburn is now on top of the league standings.
