My name is Peter Gay, and I am the Republican candidate for New York State Assembly in the 120th District. I recently submitted a Letter of Intent to the Chairman of the Onondaga County Republican Party.

So far, no other Republicans have declared plans to run.

I believe the people of my district deserve a representative who is committed to the principles of a sound and free economy, lowered taxes, the rights to life and personal liberty, and a government that in all things is strictly limited by its constitution. This commitment has traditionally been the definition of the Republican Party platform, whether for national or local offices, and that is why I have decided to run as a Republican in this election.

I am also seriously dedicated to the effort to restore honesty and integrity in Albany.

I look forward to meeting with you, the people of my district, and discussing our mutual concerns and priorities; and if I’m chosen to do so, I look forward to serving you as your representative in the New York State Assembly.

Peter, Good Luck in this race. How badly gerrymandered is the 120th? Thanks, Steve

You sound like you will make a difference. Odd how, as soon as you announce your intent to run, there's suddenly someone else whogoes for the nomination. I think if you had not stee\pped up, Valeski would run unopposed.
